Improve at Poker with GrinderSchool 2010-08-05 Let's briefly go back in time a few weeks: I mentioned a number of useful poker tools that can help you learn the game on money poker sites. I suggested that you should make use of a hand converter, always use bankroll management, and be sure to have a poker odds table open on your desktop. I also wrote that it's wise to take advantage of some free poker videos because they really help you to become a better player, plus they are free poker training which means that no money is required. If you've already taken this advice and found a bunch of free videos, you might be wondering what to do next once you've exhausted the free video market on the internet. Most players will have earned a couple bucks at the tables by now, so it's time to invest a bit of money to grow even more as a player. Over the next couple months I will give reviews on some of the poker training sites that you are able to sign up for if you think that videos are the best way for you to learn.
The first training site I'll look at is GrinderSchool because it was developed for players with less experience. A subscription starts at $ 10/month, and you are allowed access to 600+ online poker videos made by those that have proven they beat the games in US poker sites. GrinderSchool features 7 videos every week, and while the bulk of them show No Limit Hold Em, around four per month are either Pot Limit Omaha or mixed game videos. The cash game coverage for No Limit Hold Em is excellent at GrinderSchool, so you're in luck if you play cash on Tiger Gaming. They feature a multitude of 6 max and full ring poker videos, and new players will have no trouble finding a few videos at their chosen low buy-in. Heads-up players and Limit players might need to wait a little bit longer to see more videos catering to their games. There are a few videos for Limit and heads-up, but a long term subscription is probably not worth it for people that specialize in these types of poker. The same can be said for those that are looking for strategy tips for Omaha or other less popular poker games like Stud. If you prefer tournaments on your Fulltiltpoker download instead of cash games, GrinderSchool can still benefit you. Videos are also abundant for tournament players, and most of them are by some really excellent players. The videos feature buy-ins from $2 to $55, and most of them are part of a 3 to 9 part series. If you're looking to play in some higher buy-in tournaments, you can also pick from videos that feature satellites. If you dislike multi-table tournaments but enjoy Sit-N-Go's on a PokerStars download, I highly recommend GrinderSchool. You'll find that a large percentage of the SNG videos were made by the site's owner, but recently joining the team were a couple new high quality instructors. New players will be pleased to see that the buy-ins featured in these videos are as low as $ 1, and both beginner and advanced concepts are covered. I highly recommend GrinderSchool to beginner players trying the best US poker sites. We've already seen how low the monthly cost is, and with no sign up fee, it's almost a no-brainer! If you're looking for mixed games, you are better off elsewhere, but there isn't a better training site out there for low stake No Limit Hold Em players. 0 Responses to "Improve at Poker with GrinderSchool"Leave a reply | Author
