Hello and thanks for coming by. Today I will define more terms that will matter as you strive to win on money poker sites. I must admit that I am having fun going in order according to the alphabet. If nothing else it prevents me from agonizing over the vast number of choices in the poker dictionary.

The first term I will define is ICM, which stands for Independent Chip Model. If your main game is STTs on a Full Tilt Poker download, knowing about ICM is a must. It assigns a cash value to your chips when there are less than 10 players remaining in a tournament.

There are not a lot of J terms, so I will just quickly define "jam". If you find some free poker training and the instructor says that a jam is optimal, it is equivalent to saying that going all-in is optimal. "Shove" and "push" both have the same meaning.

The next word I will mention is "kill." If you decide to play live poker instead of download Roulette one night, one of your options will probably be a kill game. A kill acts as an additional blind for anyone that wins two hands in a row. A full kill is twice the size of the big blind while a half kill is 1.5 times the big blind. Those that shy away from aggro tables on poker flash sites are bound to like kill tables because they sometimes stifle hyper-aggression.

When someone raises or calls "light", they are doing it with a hand that is relatively weak. Pretend that you are playing on Tiger Gaming and you get dealt T3 in the big blind. Someone that raises a lot in late position raises on the cut-off, and you elect to reraise because you assume he is weak a large percentage of the time. He is likely raising light in his position, and you are reraising light from your position. You will find these situations on a regular basis when playing poker.

Well that was my last term for this entry. In December I will start with the letter M and I plan to have plenty of great examples ready to go. In the meantime, get some experience at the tables.

This article will go on with poker terms you should know when you download money poker sites. In October I finished off with a phrase that started with D.

Whether you prefer tourneys or cash games on Ultimate Bet for Mac, 'effective stacks' is a word that comes into play very often. When two players are in a pot, they can only wager up to the total in the shortest stack (the effective stack). If you have 3,400 chips and your opponent has 2,200, the effective stack is 2,200.

The next phrase I will tell you about is 'flip', a suggestion that might come if you play a friendly cash game on a Lucky Ace Poker download. Basically the players involved in a flip agree to go all-in preflop with whichever cards are dealt to them. You might be thinking to yourself that this does not coincide with the definition of flip you heard the other day. Well a flip can also describe a situation in which you have 50% equity. For instance, if you participate in a Sit&Go and you push your chips in with AJ and get called by TT, this could be called a flip because your equity in the hand is around 50%.

I thought 'gutshot' was a good word to pick for the next letter. When you have a gutshot straight draw, you are basically hoping for one of 4 outs to complete your straight. For instance, if you take a break from Craps online and get dealt 78 in a ring game, you might feel frisky and decide to play it. You limp behind and the flop comes down 9J2. Your draw is a gutshot because you only have a straight when a particular card comes (four outs). If you ever hear about an 'inside straight draw', it is the same thing.

I chose 'Hero fold' for the letter H. When you make you a hero fold, you are making a difficult fold with a relatively strong hand. Pretend that you are in a cash game on your Everest Poker download and you are playing with someone that you have never seen raise before. You get dealt 22 and flop bottom set on an uncoordinated board, but instead of folding or calling, your opponent decides to raise! Laying this hand down to one raise is a clear case of a hero fold. An amateur player will find these hands difficult, but unlike some other games, poker is a thinking game and sometimes big folds are prudent.

That is my last term for this entry, but I will be sure to continue on when I come back in November. In the meantime, be sure to play lots of hands and get lots of practice. If you haven't already made an account at PokerStars, I highly recommend it. Un millón de dólares garantizados, todos los domingos. Más de 100,000 jugadores conectados. Los mejores jugadores profesionales de póquer. No esperes más para descargar PokerStars.

A while back I went over a number of key poker terms that you should know when you read up on strategy for winning on money poker sites. I am going to do the same thing for my next few articles. To entertain myself, I will try to go through all the letters of the alphabet and choose one term per letter. Let's go!

For the beginning of the alphabet, I will explain the word 'ante'. If you would like to play tournaments on a PartyPoker bonus code, this is a very important term to know. An ante is a bet that must be paid by all players at the table before the hand is dealt. The ante is usually around a tenth of the big blind, although it can be more or less depending on the game.

You will already know what a 'bluff' is if you watch poker on TV. When someone bluffs, they are representing a stronger hand than the one they actually hold in order to make better hands fold. If you ever download Full Tilt Poker and watch the high stakes tables, you will probably see some great bluffs being made.

Regarding the third letter of the alphabet, let's look at 'chip dumping', something that your poker site should be looking out for if it is one of the best online poker sites. Chip dumping is defined as losing chips to someone else on purpose. This can occur when two people are colluding in a tournament or cash game, and it is an excellent way for criminals to launder illegally obtained cash. Now you know why US poker sites want their security team looking out for suspicious betting patterns on the virtual felt.

When you are getting free poker training, you might need to know about 'dirty outs'. You have a situation of dirty outs when cards that improve your hand improve an opponent's hand even more. For instance, say you are at a cash table on Tiger Gaming and have an open ended straight draw on a board with a couple hearts. If you make your straight when a third heart comes out, this out could be dirty because someone that had a flush draw has a hand that beats your new straight.

I am going to stop here, but I will be back sometime in October. Between now and then, it might be fun to try a Bwin Poker download. Take care!

Today I%u2019m going to inform you of a training website that gives strategy for Sit-N-Go (SNG) tournaments on money poker sites. SNGs are tourneys that don't start until they've reached a predetermined number of entrants. For example, you can register for a one table SNG, and the tournament will start once a total of nine people register. SNGs can be have anywhere from 2 to 180+ players in them. Whether you play flash or Mac poker, your favorite room should have SNG tables.

SitnGoGrinders.com specializes in SNG strategy. Since SNGs always have a set number of players along with rigid payout structures, they play differently from regular tournaments. You'll learn some important tips on SitnGo Grinders from their videos and articles, and the people that make the videos or write the articles have had great success with poker. This site does not offer free poker training, but it won't cost you an arm and a leg to join, either. They have chosen to avoid registration fees, and the cost per month is around $20. If you're thinking long term, you should think about signing up for the entire year because you'll pay $ 10.75/month for the first year and then $ 10 for subsequent months.

SitnGo Grinders is one of the newer training sites out there, so they don't have as many videos as some of the best online poker training sites. They try to feature a new video every day, so the collection is growing quickly. I doubt you'll be disappointed with the selection right off the bat, anyway. You'll find hundreds of videos for both 6 max and multi-table SNGs, all played on top Texas Holdem sites. There are close to a hundred videos for full ring and heads-up games, which should still keep you busy for a long time.

Several of the instructors play on a PokerStars download. These players really took advantage of the bonuses and VIP program because almost all of them are either Supernova or Supernova Elite players. These statuses show that they are true grinders of the game, which makes sense considering the site's name! You'll find that the videos feature all sorts of buy-ins so that both beginners and veterans can benefit from the site.

If you play mostly ring games on your Titanpoker download, you will want to stay away from this site as they feature strictly SNGs. If you're a multi-table tournament player, you won't have any videos targeted to your game either, but you might still find the site useful for learning MTT endgame. While SitnGoGrinders.com isn't the first choice for those that like variety, it's still an excellent site given its prices. In fact, this training site should be a no brainer for anyone hoping to make a decent profit off SNGs on US friendly poker sites.

So far I've introduced a couple training sites that concentrate on cash games on money poker sites, so today I thought I'd feature a site that produces videos for MTTs. Poker Pwnage is a pretty fresh face in the industry, and their primary objective is to create poker videos for tournament players on sites where you can download free poker. You'll pay a $35 activation and then around $25 per month for a membership. This is more than at GrinderSchool but less than at Cardrunners.

If you just can't win any of the tournaments you play on your Bwin Poker download, Poker Pwnage might benefit you a lot. They've released 300+ online poker videos, and they were created by some very skillful multi-table tournament poker players. In fact, a couple of the instructors did quite well in WSOP 2010. David 'GhettoFabolous' Randall won an impressive $270,000 for third in Event 11, and 'Chardrian' Dresel-Velasquez took fifth in Event 12 for $43,000.

If you don't really like MTT poker and you're more of a Sit-N-Go player after using a Titanpoker bonus code, you'll also find something to take out of Poker Pwnage. There are videos for buy-ins from $ 10 to over $ 100, and you'll get to choose from standard full ring, short handed, and heads-up. It's possible to learn the basics, but the site also offers some out-of-the-box thinking since US friendly poker sites can be tough these days. You'll still benefit from these videos even if you've been playing Sit-N-Go's for a number of years now.

Do not even think about signing up for this site if you want strategy for Daniels Room poker. They have a mere 5 cash game videos as of today, and I doubt another one is coming anytime soon. If you're mostly a Stud player after using your PokerStars marketing codes, you won't be happy with this site, either. You'll find only Hold Em, and until another form of poker starts to become more popular, we probably won't see this changed anytime soon.

It's great to know that Poker Pwnage has committed to tournament players, so I don't mind that they lack cash games. When you stream the videos, you can be sure that the education you will get will be backed up by winning stats and solid results. After you watch some of the videos, I hope that you won't have to make another deposit on your Everest Poker download ever again!

When I wrote my last entry, I wrote about GrinderSchool, a training site that puts out poker videos for those new to money poker sites. Now I will introduce Cardrunners, likely the most successful and respected training site on the internet these days. The site was brought to life by Taylor Caby and Andrew Wiggins, and they partnered with the Full Tilt download back in 2008. The site contains a large variety of online poker videos for pretty much every stake on the internet today.

If you make an account at Cardrunners, you'll be able to view a small amount of free poker training, but you'll have to put up some cash in order to check out the best content. You might not like the fees if you still have a small bankroll because first you get charged $ 100 to sign up, and then you pay $30 per month. People serious about winning on their Everest Poker download will discover that these fees are worth it, though. Right now there are over 1800 videos available for streaming and download, and each week at least seven more are made available.

As with GrinderSchool, Cardrunners specializes in cash games. There exists an excellent selection of short-handed videos on top Texas Hold'em sites due to popular demand, and the Full Ring catalog has improved when compared with a year or two ago. If you're more into Heads-Up or Limit games, you will also be pleased with the variety of videos you get to choose from.

If you're a Sit-N-Go player or if you prefer tournaments on poker flash, Cardrunners won't be your first choice because their claim to fame is, without a doubt, cash games. You'll still find plenty of tournament videos, however, and they range from low to nosebleed stakes. If you play a mix of cash and tournaments, Cardrunners is an excellent way to go because they still offer several videos for MTTs and Sit-N-Go's to go with their high quality cash game selection.

If you need some Omaha videos to help you clear your PokerStars bonus code, Cardrunners has some of the most useful videos out of all the sites today. You'll find it's the same for other games like Draw and Razz. It's impossible to find a site that has a selection that can compare to that of Hold Em, but Cardrunners definitely has the best selection of videos for other games out of all the training sites out there.

Once you've gotten some good practice with free poker no downloads, Cardrunners is a great choice if you are okay with paying for some beneficial training videos. It is undeniably the number one way to go for cash game specialists, and if you want to learn a bit about tournaments, they'll have something for you, too. All in all, you can't go wrong with putting your money into a Cardrunners membership.

Let's briefly go back in time a few weeks: I mentioned a number of useful poker tools that can help you learn the game on money poker sites. I suggested that you should make use of a hand converter, always use bankroll management, and be sure to have a poker odds table open on your desktop. I also wrote that it's wise to take advantage of some free poker videos because they really help you to become a better player, plus they are free poker training which means that no money is required. If you've already taken this advice and found a bunch of free videos, you might be wondering what to do next once you've exhausted the free video market on the internet. Most players will have earned a couple bucks at the tables by now, so it's time to invest a bit of money to grow even more as a player. Over the next couple months I will give reviews on some of the poker training sites that you are able to sign up for if you think that videos are the best way for you to learn.

The first training site I'll look at is GrinderSchool because it was developed for players with less experience. A subscription starts at $ 10/month, and you are allowed access to 600+ online poker videos made by those that have proven they beat the games in US poker sites. GrinderSchool features 7 videos every week, and while the bulk of them show No Limit Hold Em, around four per month are either Pot Limit Omaha or mixed game videos.

The cash game coverage for No Limit Hold Em is excellent at GrinderSchool, so you're in luck if you play cash on Tiger Gaming. They feature a multitude of 6 max and full ring poker videos, and new players will have no trouble finding a few videos at their chosen low buy-in. Heads-up players and Limit players might need to wait a little bit longer to see more videos catering to their games. There are a few videos for Limit and heads-up, but a long term subscription is probably not worth it for people that specialize in these types of poker. The same can be said for those that are looking for strategy tips for Omaha or other less popular poker games like Stud.

If you prefer tournaments on your Fulltiltpoker download instead of cash games, GrinderSchool can still benefit you. Videos are also abundant for tournament players, and most of them are by some really excellent players. The videos feature buy-ins from $2 to $55, and most of them are part of a 3 to 9 part series. If you're looking to play in some higher buy-in tournaments, you can also pick from videos that feature satellites.

If you dislike multi-table tournaments but enjoy Sit-N-Go's on a PokerStars download, I highly recommend GrinderSchool. You'll find that a large percentage of the SNG videos were made by the site's owner, but recently joining the team were a couple new high quality instructors. New players will be pleased to see that the buy-ins featured in these videos are as low as $ 1, and both beginner and advanced concepts are covered.

I highly recommend GrinderSchool to beginner players trying the best US poker sites. We've already seen how low the monthly cost is, and with no sign up fee, it's almost a no-brainer! If you're looking for mixed games, you are better off elsewhere, but there isn't a better training site out there for low stake No Limit Hold Em players.

A couple weeks ago I told you about poker tools that can help improve your game as you strive to become a good player on money poker sites. The first tool I suggested was the online poker dictionary, and I explained that you'll find it hard to read advanced strategies without knowing the most common and important poker terms. One problem you might find with a poker dictionary is that so many words will be listed that you'll wonder where to start! Because of this, I'll go ahead and talk about a small number of the poker terms that I consider most important for someone learning on a Full Tilt Poker download (or whatever site you decide to play on). Start with these terms as they're common and most likely to pop up when you start reading poker literature.

Actually the most important terms have already been mentioned in this blog, so please make sure you'9ve read my previous articles before continuing. You should always pay close attention to 'bankroll management' and 'variance' as they are undeniably some of the most important terms in poker. When playing on your Bwin Poker download, there's always a possibility that you'll endure some bad luck. You could need this bankroll to kick in at any time because it's impossible to predict when this might happen.

It would be good to next learn about the 'rake'. The rake is the money removed from all the pots or prize pools by the site or establishment hosting your poker game. For instance, if you play some no-limit hold em after using a Titanpoker bonus code, each pot will end up around 5% less because Titan Poker will collect it as their payment. You'll find that each site will rake slightly differently, and there is a maximum amount that will be taken for each pot.

Another term to take a look at is 'position'. Previously we considered the importance of your preflop cards in the poker hands order article, but the importance of position was never brought up. You are in position if you're last to act after the flop, and you will win pots more frequently when you're in position. You should be more willing to play hands in position and less willing to play hands out of position. When you download free casino games, you don't have to pay attention to where other people are playing. Poker is very different in that way.

Go ahead and search for the term 'outs' in your online poker dictionary. At any given time if you believe you don't have the best hand, you should determine the cards that could come on later streets that would be likely to improve your hand to the winner. These are what you call your 'outs'.

Learn about the term 'fold equity'. As you play pots in this game, you should recognize that one way to win pots is to bet and have your opponents fold. This is called fold equity, and it is very important because it's a way to win pots without necessarily having the best hand. If you ever watch hands being played in Daniels Room poker, you'll see that the most successful players use fold equity pretty much every session.

As you read poker strategy online, you'll probably come across the term 'nit'. A person is a nit if he plays a narrow range of hands preflop and he's unwilling to gamble. He will rarely put himself in a spot where he is unlikely to be ahead.

One more term that will help when you download free poker is 'all-in'. Most common in tournament poker, if you go all-in, you are betting your entire stack and your opponents must call the equivalent of your stack if they want to continue with the hand. If you are called and fail to win the showdown, you are often bust and you have to re-buy (if the game allows it) or remove yourself from the table.

In a future entry, I will probably list more terms to take a look at. For now you should study the ones in this entry and make sure you fully understand them. Thanks for reading and see you next time!

It's time to quit learning about intangibles like discipline and bankroll management. Let's instead talk about some of the internet resources that you can use as you attempt to become a better player on money poker sites. For the first thing, I would suggest consulting an online poker dictionary. Before you start learning about advanced strategy for your Full Tilt Poker download, you should learn all the important terms that are commonly used when discussing poker. If you don%u2019t know the language, you probably cannot learn anything very advanced. It's like trying to fill a cavity without knowing what the dental tools are called!

After you learn the poker terms, you should find a poker forum in which you can start threads and receive free help when you need it. When you're trying to choose a site, be sure it contains advice about Amex compatible casinos since that is a sign that it's a site that covers all bases. I chose a forum when I was a beginner player and I quickly became better at the game when I began writing posts and asking questions. If you would like to post hand histories on message boards, I would suggest that you try out a hand converter. This makes it easier to read and then people are more likely to reply to your post.

If you%u2019d like another way to learn very quickly, you should watch some poker videos showing play on top Texas Hold'em sites. There are many expensive and advanced videos on the internet, but I would hold off on those until you've played a bunch of hands. When you're just starting out, there are a lot of free poker videos out there for you.

And finally, remember to use a poker odds chart as soon as you download free poker. When you're putting opponents on ranges and trying to decide if you have enough of an edge to make that big call, you're going to need the chart to figure out how often you win the pot.

Don't underestimate the value of these online tools for they help your game exponentially and, for the most part, they are free. Countless players online know nothing of these tools themselves, and this means that you immediately gain an edge. Study the game with the help of these tools and you'll be playing Daniels Room poker sooner than you thought!

Welcome back to my blog! Previously we veered off topic and instead of ranges and the poker odds table, we discussed overlooked poker skills. The overlooked skills are unable to show you how to solve post flop situations, but they'll help you sustain your bankroll and make you a well-rounded player. In this post I will explain variance, another important discussion for people playing poker. Like last time, I am not discussing cards when I go over variance. Instead I will go over how important discipline and emotional control are when you play this game.

Variance is the sole reason we aim to keep a large bankroll when playing any type of poker. Because if you are great at the game, what is the point in having a bankroll? If you always won money when you played on Tiger Gaming, you'd never finish the game on a losing note ever again...right? If only it were that easy.

Unfortunately, you'll see that no matter how faultlessly you play, you will occasionally suffer from days in the red when playing Texas Hold Em. Sometimes the poker hands you're given will be horrible and you won't be able to find anything worth playing. Other times the hands you're given will be fantastic, but of course they will still lose because sometimes your opponents just get lucky. It's a fact that there will be times when you will manage to lose despite getting it in as a 92% favorite. Moments like these sometimes cause you to consider playing online slots rather than poker!

To survive playing this game, you need to see that variance encourages bad players keep gambling on real money poker sites. They are the reason you make money. Because you cannot hope for variance to favor you all the time, you must figure out how to conquer it. Do this by practicing good bankroll management and also avoiding tilt problems. Realize how to accept the beats and if you've kept a proper bankroll, you'll be back to your usual winning ways in no time. The other option is to just download free casino slot games where you won't need to practice discipline to win.
